The Spa at the Mariott’s Grand Hotel: Tips to Save Money

Found in one of the most luxurious spa resorts in Alabama, The Spa at the Grand Hotel is possibly one of the most amazing spas I have ever visited. Their quiet room is legendary for relaxation, and they offer treatments like body scrubs, couple’s massages, facials, and a steam room. While it’s certainly not cheap, there are ways to save money.

Appointments for services are required, but you also have the option to purchase a day pass. You have to get there first, and a walk by the marina and Mobile Bay is a splendid way to start your day, and I’d recommend you get there before 8 am.

On this particular visit, I came across mass amounts of Monarch butterflies, more than I have ever seen in one place at a time.

The Spa building itself is beautiful, and it underwent a renovation several years back.

The quiet room is where you wait for your appointments, or you can just relax here with a day pass and destress.

Hours: Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Sun: 08:00 AM – 06:00 PM, Fri, Sat: 08:00 AM – 07:00 PM

2019 prices for THE GRAND ARTISAN SIGNATURE MASSAGE are 50m for $160, 80m for $235, and 110m for $320. I don’t know about you, but that’s almost a car payment in my world.

How about a COUPLES MASSAGE to double the fun and cost –  50m for $320  and 80m for $470.

And while they are fantastic for your skin, you THE GRAND ARTISAN SIGNATURE FACIAL is  50m for $155 and 80m for $220.

Those prices hurt my wallet. Here’s the best tip I have to spend your day at the spa, and by day, I mean 8 am until 6 pm – the day pass.

The SPA FACILITY DAY PASS costs $50 and includes basically everything except a service.

  • indoor pool
  • fitness center
  • dry sauna
  • steam room
  • whirlpool
  • quiet room
  • locker use
  • spa robe
  • sandals

You must be at least 16 years of age to participate with the day pass, and it’s available Sunday through Friday only. The pass excludes Saturdays and holidays.

Gratuities are not included on individual spa services and may be left at the front desk at the guest’s discretion, so be sure to tip for any services you receive.

So for $50, you can relax for the day without breaking the bank.

You’re going to get hungry while you’re there, especially if you stay for the full day. You have the opportunity to order a meal from one of the restaurants on site, but it’s expensive. Driving off property to pick up food is also pricey in Fairhope, and you’ll miss valuable time relaxing in the hot tub.

You can save money by bringing your lunch and keeping it in your locker. The indoor pool has some great pool-side loungers that make a nice place to eat your lunch. Another great place to eat is seated on the benches overlooking the marina.

The Spa at Mariott’s Grand Hotel in Point Clear, Alabama, certainly is not an inexpensive place to visit, but there are ways to make it more affordable. You won’t soon forget your trip.
