Shinola Mickey watches
Every now and then a Disney-themed product comes along that peeks my interest but just completely loses me with the price tag.
Hang on to your Disney Visa and say hello to Mickey Mouse watches by Shinola.

Shinola is a luxury design brand committed to crafting products that are built to last, like timepieces, bicycles, leather goods, jewelry, and audio. Founded in 2011, their company operates an in-house watch and leather factory in Detroit, where artisans hand assemble luxury timepieces and crafts premium leather straps.
With the intent of creating thoughtfully designed products that are built to last, they utilize handmade production processes for all their merchandise, providing unmatched levels of quality. Globally sourcing the best possible components for their products, Shilola works with independent American manufacturers who share a commitment to using materials made to last.
And you’ll certainly pay a pretty Mickey penny for such fine craftsmanship.
These two classic-style watches by Shinola for men and women are part of the Shinola x Disney Mickey Classics Collection. They both feature Mickey arms for minute and hour hands, and they are assembled in the United States with Swiss and imported parts. They both have quartz movement and leather straps that adjust with metal buckles.
The ladies face is 36mm in diameter, while the men’s edition is slightly larger at 41mm.

Let’s take a look at the women’s version first.

The ladies watch has a white pearlized dial with a polished PVD rose gold case and retails for $849.95.

I’ll let that sink in for a minute…$848.95.

When your watch is called a timepiece, you know it’s going to be expensive. Welcome to Disney luxury, eh?!

The men’s version comes with a white sandblast dial and a polished stainless steel case, and this darker beauty retails for $799.95.

Both watches come with a leather Mickey journal that features flip-page animation artwork.

The watches have the same iconic Mickey head on the back of the watch.

The Shop Disney website has a notice for you big spenders, “Please note: Purchase of this item is limited to 2 per Guest.”
Well, that’s good, because now I don’t feel the pressure to order one for every member of the family. Perhaps when the general public’s huge rush to purchase subsides, I’ll be able to place my order for 5 all at once.

But don’t put your Disney Visa away so fast.

Just after you have recovered from the $800+ price tag, Shinola also offers several more Disney-themed products worthy of a glance…

but these are another Visa killer story for another day.

You may need to use the website, because the actual store locations are few and far between right now. I’m sure it won’t be long before one pops up at Disney Springs.
