Let’s talk a little bit about souvenir shopping. The word “bargain” is really a relative term; what you call a bargain, I may call insanely expensive. While jewelry may not generally be regarded as cheap, I really believe it’s one of the best souvenirs you can bring home from a Disney vacation. You’re buying a quality item, often produced using high-class metals like sterling silver and gold, which can last for generations if you take proper care.

Most of these styles are no longer for sale in 2019, but you can get an idea regarding how much you’ll pay for high quality jewelry. And if you are heart broken you will be unable to make a purchase, I would definitely try eBay to see if someone has a gently used version for sale.

See, this $4,000 diamond necklace could be the un-doing of someone’s vacation budget…

There’s a new jewelry designer on the Disney scene, with her creations selling in both park and resort gift shops as well as at, for those days when your post-vacation depression leads to a little online shopping. Priced under $150, with many pieces under $100, the cost of her jewelry didn’t cause my Visa card to scream in panic. I therefore call that a bargain, based on prices for other jewelry items (see pic. above) and Disney souvenir costs in general.

Her name is Rebecca Hook, and her designs are understated yet beautiful, with prices that even a cheapskate can afford.

The pictures alone will sell the product…

Who is Rebecca Hook?

Rebecca is a designer based in Kentucky. She spent her early years around her parents’ jewelry business, learning jewelry design and manufacturing. She draws inspiration from colors and textures of her own personal experiences. As her website attests, “Rebecca’s designs are strong in form yet delicate in nature and speak to the romantic spirit in every woman.”

Her jewelry is created by lost wax casting and finished with satin texture and semi-precious gemstones.

I like her designs because I am not always a girly girl, and her jewelry blends in with my entire wardrobe, from t-shirts and shorts to dressing up for work. They are classy without being too in-your-face Disney-ish.

Let’s see what she has to offer you Disney fans in search of a lasting souvenir.

You’ll be tempted with tons of souvenir items. If you can pick up a sweatshirt and a sterling silver ring for about the same price, which one do you think will last longer?

I have both, and I’m voting for the ring.
