Holiday Wishes Dessert Premium Package: A Cheapskate Princess Guide

If you are planning on visiting Walt Disney World during November or December, then chances are you will be enjoying some of the amazing holiday experiences and touches that Disney does so well. A lot of guests visit during this time so they can attend Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. While it can be pretty busy, there is so much to see and do that it really is a magical time to visit Walt Disney World.

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is a special ticket event at Magic Kingdom and allows guests to experience the holiday season with their favorite Disney characters decked out in their most festive attire.

A premium experience that Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas party goers can attend is the Holiday Wishes Dessert Premium Package. Guests can enjoy Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade from a special reserved location on Main Street, U.S.A.. Then, after the parade – and a visit from Santa Claus – enjoy a private dessert party at Tomorrowland Terrace. This party has some delicious, mouth watering treats and the perfect viewing of Holiday Wishes: Celebrate the Spirit of the Season fireworks above Cinderella Castle. Every table at the dessert party has a view of Cinderella Castle.

Please check in from 4:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. at the Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant to receive an official credential for this event. Guests cannot transfer the credential to another guest and it cannot be replaced if lost or stolen.

Starting at 7:30 P.M., guests will gather by the flag pole in Town Square to see Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, which begins at 8:35 P.M. If guests miss the parade viewing, they can check-in directly at the party at 9:30 P.M. Holiday Wishes will start at 10:00 P.M.

The viewing location for the parade is outdoors and is standing room only, but will accommodate guests in wheelchairs and ECVs. The space is uncovered so please plan accordingly. Seating will be available at the dessert party on a first-come, first-served basis.


If there is inclement weather, the parade and fireworks might be cancelled or delayed, but the dessert party will happen regardless of the weather.

The desserts included are holiday themed cupcakes, chocolate dipped strawberries, chocolate mousse, ice cream, cheese, fresh fruit and desserts prepared by Disney’s pastry chefs. Guests can also toast the evening with sparkling cider, signature lemonades, specialty Christmas drinks, hot chocolate, coffee or tea.

Do you or someone in your travel party have food allergies? You can still attend the Holiday Wishes Dessert Party. According to Special Diets at Walt Disney World, you are encouraged to speak to a Chef or Manager when you arrive at the party to get product labels and assistance in selecting safe options. Also, email special diets at before your visit and provide your reservation information for the Dessert Party so that the Chefs will be prepared before your arrival. But please be advised, that they can’t accept this information more than 30 days prior to your reservation.

The Holiday Wishes Dessert Premium Package is available on the following dates:
• November 7, 8, 10, 11, 13, 15, 18, 27 and 29, 2016
• December 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 9, 11, 13, 15, 16, 22 and 28, 2016

The Holiday Wishes Dessert Premium Package costs $79 for adults and $47 for children ages 3-9. This doesn’t include tax. The Disney Dining Plan entitlements cannot be used for this event. Please note: guests who want to attend the Holiday Wishes Dessert party must also purchase a separate ticket to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. This dessert party is only offered on the days of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.

While this is an expensive add on to a vacation, it is an unique and special experience for your family. This would have to be something my family saved up for and not something we could do every time, but it would make for a very special Christmas present if you were celebrating the holidays at Walt Disney World.
