Updated for 2019!
Many parents of small children don’t take height into consideration when planning for vacations. There are minimum Disney World Height Requirements for many rides at theme and water parks at Walt Disney World: if you haven’t measured your small children by now, get out that measuring tape and let’s see just who can ride what!

I see this question asked pretty often in WDW planning groups: should I try to cheat my child’s height if they are an inch or two below the requirement?
The answer is absolutely not. These requirements were implemented to ensure the safety of your child, rather than to ruin your day when a child is too short to enjoy a particular ride. Sometimes, even if you can do something, you shouldn’t, and this comes down to a matter of safety.
Why take a chance of epic tragedy when you could simply wait a year or two?
