Cinderella Suite Disney World

Where do you want to stay at Disney World? Whenever I hear the answer “Cinderella Castle,” it’s always a little bitter-sweet. How sweet to want to stay in that stunning castle, yet the bitter part comes when you realize almost none of us average mortals will ever stay in the elusive Cinderella Suite perched high inside the castle.

Walt Disney had planned for a “suite” to be built for his family to use, but he passed nearly five years before the Magic Kingdom even opened. The space was not used for anything remotely regal until it was announced in 2006 that the Cinderella Suite had been created.  The suite was used throughout the 2007 “Year of a Million Dream” promotion, where one family was chosen each day for a night’s stay. So you cannot make reservations to stay there, and unless you are a super star like Kevin Jonas or Tom Cruise, you won’t be receiving a royal invitation for a sleepover anytime soon.

Cinderella Suite Bedroom Suite

These beautiful photos were found on Matt Jylha Photography, mattjylha, com, and you will notice the deep rich color of the dark wood, the darker tones of the bedding and floors, and all that fantastic stone and tile. While this may appeal to your average 40-year-old Disney Princess, sleeping in this dark-colored, cold-floored room would probably not appeal to the average Disney Princess crowd under ten.

Any chance you could bring any of that Cinderella Suite magic into your little princess’s bedroom? Sure, if you have the cash…
