Mickey Pros:

At Chef Mickey’s, you can see Disney World’s five main characters all in one spot. After they reach your table, the characters interact with you, sign autographs, and take photos.

Since you dine buffet style, you can get as much food as you  would like making it somewhat cost effective. Breakfast here may also suffice as lunch. Many guests say the waffle bar is the best part of the experience.

You can park here for a limited amount of time with a dining.

Check Mickey’s is just a short monorail ride from Magic Kingdom.

Music is played every 20 or 30 minutes, when the characters do a parade/dance and guests wave their napkins in the air. Children and adults have fun joining in.

Mickey Cons:

To see Disney’s five main characters all in one spot is pricey, compared to counter service meals or preparing your own food.

While many people enjoy what they ate, some diners have observed the food was just basic buffet fare. Many visitors report the food was simply nothing fancy to write home about.

Reader Reviews:

Lesli, “We say it is worth it! While the buffet is not the finest cuisine in all the land, it does provide food ideal for kids—even picky eaters! Each character spends time at each table, and our kids couldn’t have loved it more! Sure beats standing in line to see them!”

Grayson, “If I had to choose a character meal best suited for kids, it’s definitely Chef Mickey’s. While the kids don’t remember much about the actual food besides the waffles, they still talk about hugging the characters.I’m not sure I’ve gotten over the total cost, but the family says it was a great time.”

Jada, “The restaurant can get pretty loud, because most of the tables are filled and it’s busy. Character interaction can be short and feel a little rushed, depending on how busy they are. The food? So so. Seeing the characters is pretty cool.”

Tracey, “We would definitely go back again. The waffles are cute and the wait staff was outstanding. Dinners here can be hit or miss, but you are here for character interaction rather than world class food.”
