June 2015
Nestled right next to the Pass Bridge in Orange Beach, Alabama, is a massive resort complex called Caribe the Resort. Located on over 30 acres of a peninsula, Caribe Resort features more amenities than any resorts in the area, including 40,000 sq. feet of pools, lazy river, tennis courts, saunas and steam rooms, game room, private beach cart service. There is a five-star restaurant next to the resort called Cobalt. This beach getaway is absolutely amazing.
I traveled to Caribe in June of 2015 with friends for a Girl’s Weekend, but we were surrounded by a plethora of children and families everywhere. On a beach resort property with tennis courts, a play ground, and pools with slides, I wondered what adults would do to occupy their time at Caribe with no children during the off-season.
My husband and traveled to Caribe In October of 2015 to explore the property sans children. It wasn’t hard at all to find things for adults to do.
You can appreciate quiet times and bright colors.
You can search for water, and in late October, the warmer the better!
You can walk around the resort taking in the sights; there is literally water everywhere.
You can wander around the resort property in search of the best view of the astounding sunsets.
You can eat fancy meals in lovely locations.
Here, we’re on our balcony, enjoying Bourbon Street chicken made with hot sauce from the Hot Sauce Store we visited at the Wharf during a quick shopping expedition.
That five-star restaurant we mentioned earlier, Cobalt, is always a treat.
Caribe is an incredible place for a vacation with or without children. You can read about our Girl’s Weekend trip, with condo and amenity pictures using this link.
The Beach Princess: Orange Beach’s Caribe Resort Truly Is Like No Other
We have rented through VRBO.com and directly from Caribe. Off season, you may get lucky to find a two bedroom condo for around $200, although spring break and summer prices are WAY more pricey than that. If you find a good deal on a beach rental off-season, you just might be a Cheapskate Beach Princess!
