Ample Hills Creamery is a new ice cream shop opened at the Boardwalk Resort area at Walt Disney World.

There is seating outside, if you are wiling to brave the heat. These tables and chairs might be a better idea for after sundown.

The shop is cute and spacious, although there’s not much seating inside.

The artwork on the walls is cute, like something I would want to paint in my own home but could never pull off in reality.

Even the cases holding the ice cream look enticing.

There are specialty and waffle cones available for your ice cream.

You can get a specialty flavor here only sold at Walt Disney World:

The Cons

This costs more than ice cream out of your refrigerator, but you are on vacation, duh, so you expect that.

The not much seating inside in the air-conditioning is a bummer. It’s hot in Florida and ice cream melts fast.

Unless you are staying here or just enjoy walking around the resorts, also known as Resort Hopping, the this ice cream shop is out of your way. If you are at Epcot, you can make it here in a 20-30 minute walk from the France Pavillon in the back of Epcot or take a boat from the back entrance. The wait for the ride can take 10-20 minutes although the boat ride is pretty quick.

The Pros

You don’t need a reservation like you would at Beaches and Cream across Crescent Lake.

Compared to Beaches and Cream prices, 6 scoops of ice cream for $9.99 is a bargain, as far as Disney World bargains go.

Everybody loves ice cream!
