Updated for 2018!

Disney World continues to offer travelers amazing opportunities that are well beyond a normal vacationer’s travel experiences. On a day when you do not have park tickets, like a swim day or a sleep-in day, you can head over to Animal Kingdom Lodge for their Starlight Safari.

What is it?

Get set for an immersive safari adventure which is reminiscent of an after-dark drive through an African game reserve, a popular nighttime expedition that is now available to all Walt Disney World Resort guests. You’ll ride in a sturdy, open-sided safari vehicle, passing lush scenery in search of over 30 species of African wildlife.

How will you see at night?

Since it’s pretty hard to see at night, guests will be provided with night vision goggles. How cool! You’ll spot zebras, giraffes, gazelles, wildebeest, antelopes, flamingos, ostriches and other exotic African species roaming across the savanna.

Pricing and Reservation Information

Offered 7 nights a week, this excursion takes place from 8:30 PM to 9:30 PM and 10:00 PM to 11:00 PM. The tour is available for all guests 8 years of age or older; guests under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.

Book your reservations now by calling (407) WDW-TOUR or (407) 939-8687. Mike Ellis, our Disney Vacation Planner with Pixie Vacations will be glad to make your reservations. Call Mike at 919-606-6725 or e-mail him at mike@pixievacations.com.

I truly love the Google maps virtual reality vacationing around the Disney Resort property. You can see animals outside Animal Kingdom.

As well as renderings of the resort pools.
