Turquoise Place in Orange Beach, Alabama, may be the most luxurious resort complex on the Alabama coastline.

The building itself is all steel and blue/turquoise colored glass.

This was our building, D.

The two buildings have two of the most beautiful lobby areas I have ever set foot in – pure luxury.

The dining room.

The kitchen.

The living room.

The living room fireplace and big screen TV.

Ice maker and wet bar.

The master bedroom was huge.

Right outside the master bedroom was a hot tub on the balcony.

Look at that 7th floor view!

There were two guest rooms.

Let’s talk about bathrooms.

The master bathroom

I bought my own battery operated candles for a different effect at night.

The additional bathrooms were each different, with a walk-in shower and a small jet tub.

There’s a half bath in the hallway, which is nice when company comes to visit.

There are washer dryer units.

The decor was all beach with blues, golds, and creams.

Having spent childhood trips touching everything at Disney World and the beach, I can’t help but appreciate all the textures throughout this condo.

Viewing rain from a hot tub. It rained almost the entire trip.

The sun did come out for our last afternoon, and then the view from the hot tub was amazing.

When the sun comes out in the winter, people hit the beach. Not in bikinis, but in long pants and jackets.

Turquoise Place has some amazing amenities.

There are several weight rooms.

There are wet and dry saunas for men.

On the 4th floor, you’ll find a child’s play ground and a lazy river.

Indoor hot tubs!

The indoor pool…

Outdoor pools will do most of you no good at all, given they they are not heated, but they are super nice.

The kiddie pool is even shaped like a fish!

We saved money by mainly cooking in. It truly helps that my husband is a fantastic cook.

Pancakes and sausage for breakfast.

Fresh grilled Gulf shrimp for dinner.

Rainbow Trout, rice with shrimp and asparagus.

Chicken salad on a croissant with a side salad.

Grilled chicken, roasted potatoes, fresh spinach and shrimp.

Chicken pizzas.

Home-made brownies for dessert.

We also stopped by Cobalt for some lunch, which is just a short 4 minute drive down the street.

There are several reasons you get deals at the beach during off season.

One is the weather. It’s 68 degrees ad rainy, and most people don’t want to walk on the beach under those conditions. We see a lot of “snow birds” though, which are people escaping the snow up north for a warmer winter down south.

You don’t have access to everything in the winter, like the pool bar. It’s closed for lack of patrons.
