Disney Springs’ Freebies at Christmas!

Updated for 2018!

Disney Springs is a fantastic retail, dining and entertainment complex across the lake from Saratoga Springs Resort. I honestly believe this is a must do for any Disney World trip, especially if you have a half day free with no park tickets. There are lots of shady areas for day visits, and at night, you’ll hear music and enjoy soft lighting by two distinct bodies of water.

Plan to visit Disney Springs during the Christmas holidays? There are tons of activities for you to enjoy, most of which will not cost you even one dollar.

Window Shopping

There are (as of March 2018) 109 store in Disney Springs, highlighted by the massive World of Disney store. With over 50,000 items, this store boasts the world’s largest assortment of Disney merchandise.

Shopping could be a fun but costly retail experience here, as there seems to be no items the retail stores don’t have, including children to adult  size clothing, hate, jewelry, holiday items and decorations, household items, toys, candy, key chains – you name it, you’ll find it.

If you can resist the purchasing urge, window shopping is of course free.

Disney Springs’ Christmas Tree Trail

Back in 2016, Disney introduced custom decorated holiday trees to the Marketplace area, each with a popular Disney story or character theme. 2017 offered even more and larger trees, including ten new trees inspired by Disney classics including Sleeping Beauty, Peter Pan, Snow White and Dumbo.

The path is actually just a trail, flowing from tree to tree with “Disney” snow falling. Walking among the trees is free and would also be a great spot for a family or group picture.

Parking

Disney Springs offers complimentary and adjacent self-parking, so unlike other venues, you will not pay to park here.

Holiday Entertainment

At the Marketplace stage, and often in other various areas as well, choice, bands, orchestras, and singing groups perform scores of musical numbers throughout the season. We’ve also seen dancers and drummers on occasion.

All these performances are free.

Stitch’s Holiday Gift Hunt

Disney Springs offers an expanded scavenger hunt featuring Stitch that includes a special stop at the Disney Springs’ Christmas Tree Trail. Families can work together, decipher clues, and find all the spots where Stich is hiding. Complete the mission to receive a limited-edition button.

Stitch’s Holiday Gift Hunt is free.

Meet & Greet with the Coca-Cola Polar Bear

At the World of Coke near the Orange parking facility, you can meet an eight-foot Coca-Cola bear. He is available for meet and greets on the second floor of the Store. He gives hugs and high fives. If you have Disney’s Photo Pass, just scan your MagicBand, and photos Cast Members take for you with enhanced backgrounds will be downloaded for free.

Photos you take with your camera are free.
