What You Get

Take an old-fashioned, horse-drawn 25-minute wagon ride around on a scenic tour through Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. Don’t confuse this with a hay ride; this is a wagon ride!

The Cost

The cost for rides is $8 per adult and $5 per child. Disney considers a child to be between the ages of ages of 3-9, so even if you don’t think of them as adults, anyone over the age of 10 is a Disney adult, at least in price anyway. A five dollar activity for a child at Disney World? That’s a serious bargain indeed, and eight dollars is completely affordable for adults.

Time and Location

The rides are offered nightly at 6:00 and 8:30 p.m. Weather permitting, you will depart from the front of Pioneer Hall. This map shows that location in relation to the resort buildings by the lake.

How Do You Get There?

You can park on resort property, ride a boat over from Wilderness Lodge, or walk a paved trail through the woods to the ranch. We found this to be a great outdoor activity in the winter months.

Wagon Ride Splurge

Traveling with a large group of family or co-workers?  Tri-Circle-D also offers group wagon rides for 30 to 35 guests. The cost for this experience is $300 per hour. Rides are available with 24-hour notice by calling 407-824-2832. You can make reservations for this wagon ride, so guests under 18 years of age must have parent or guardian permission to call.

While you are at Fort Wilderness, look around for a while. There are pony rides (for a fee), walking trails, bike rentals (for a fee), and you can stop by the WDW horse stables. There are a lot of activities at the Tri-Circle-D Ranch that won’t break the bank, so use this link to the official Disney World page.
