Narcoossee’s at Disney’s Grand Floridian

One year we were at Disney on our actual wedding anniversary and I wanted to go to dinner someplace really special, but also delicious. I did a ton of research and came up with Narcoossee’s at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort. After that one anniversary, Narcoossee’s is now one table service that we always make sure is included in our Disney vacation.

While the food is top notch (more on this later) I really love the atmosphere of this restaurant. It is set on Seven Seas Lagoon so if you arrive before your reservations (have your travel agent make your reservations for you 180 days out from your travel dates) you can hang out on the waterfront veranda. Also, another reason why this is one of our favorite Disney restaurants is I love watching Wishes – Magic Kingdom’s Fireworks and the Electrical Water Pageant from the veranda. During the fireworks, Narcoossee’s will turn down the lights and pump the music through the restaurant. It feels like a special viewing of the fireworks. I love it and continues to be a highlight of our Disney vacation. Also, be sure to take the boat from the Grand Floridian to the Magic Kingdom. There isn’t ever a wait and it’s a nice ride to the theme park.

Now that they have the allergy menus at Disney, Narcoossee’s uses these as well. But I always ask to talk to the chef just in case. My son is a pretty picky eater and sometimes the chef can help us find something that he will want to eat and that he CAN eat.

But if you don’t have food allergies or if your allergies allow you to eat cheesecake then please (PLEASE) order the almond-crusted cheesecake. Its delicious. I seriously dream about this dessert. During our last trip, while my husband and I were able to chow down on the cheesecake the chef brought my son gluten and egg free smores for my son. How cool is that? My son hadn’t ever had this dessert before so this was a big deal to our family.

You can’t go wrong with the food here either. I love seafood and my husband loves steak. We have both tried different entrees (the menu does change some so be sure to look it up before you go) and have never had a bad meal. Also, on Sundays the now serve brunch from 10:00 AM to 2 :00 PM. Guests can have a specialty adult beverage like a mimosa or Bloody Mary while they enjoy the pastries served to the table. Then they can enjoy wonderful brunch entrees like brioche French toast and lobster eggs Benedict. Yum.

Not sure if a trip to the Grand Floridian would fit in this cheapskate’s (or any other’s) budget.

Hi! So glad to have you here as a reader. I’m not sure if you are new to the site, but for the last 4 years, we have published nearly 200 articles, and most of those pieces were not about budgeting. Sometimes a princess needs to save up for a real Disney “experience,” and those events cost big bucks. If we wrote ONLY about cheap events and items at Disney, there wouldn’t be a whole lot to write. Sometimes a true cheapskate saves up for something truly grand, like dinner at Narcossee’s, and that’s going to cost some money.
