We have been staying at Caribe the Resort in Orange Beach Alabama for years, but we usually stick to our usual rental sources who advertise through VRBO.com. My husband found a deal from Luxury Coastal Vacations for a mid-October 2016 stay, and we were really happy with the service and accommodations.
No matter what company you rent from, Caribe is a fantastic resort. Located on over 30 acres of a peninsula in Orange Beach, Alabama, Caribe features the most amenities of any lodging found on the coast of Alabama. You and your family and guests will enjoy over 40,000 sq. feet of pools, a lazy river, tennis courts, saunas and steam rooms, a game room, private beach cart service, five star restaurant, and much more.
For those of us that live local, you feel like you have been transported to a resort in the caribbean.
The living room offered a spectacular view of building D and the above ground pool and lazy river.
We rented a two bedroom unit, which were nicely furnished with comfortable beds.
The master bedroom has a fantastic bathroom, with a stand up shower and a whirlpool tub. For those people who don’t want to sit in a hot tub with large groups of vacationers, a soak in a tub can be a really nice, quiet alternative.
The second bedroom had a full bath that is accessible from the hallway, so if you have visitors, they don’t have to walk through a bedroom to find the toilette.
Our balcony had really nice patio furniture and a fantastic view.
Caribe has some beautiful sun sets.
Walking around the resort at night is really relaxing, with soft lighting.
Just outside the resort gate is a restaurant called Cobalt, who not only has fantastic food with an amazing view, but they offer live entertainment outside many nights of the week.
Always ask if you can have a late check out if there are no additional fees. We had out 10 a.m. stay extended to noon, which allowed us to sleep in and take a walk and a hot tub soak before we packed up.
Thanks for stopping by, and we’ll see you on vacation at Caribe, or any of the other amazing condos along the Alabama gulf coast.
