Disney Parks Seasonal Tiered Ticket Pricing: A Cheapskate Princess Guide

Disney World Tickets Tiered Seasonal prices

So many exciting new attractions are coming to Disney Parks in 2016. The new Frozen Ever After ride at Epcot and a new nighttime show at Animal Kingdom are just a couple of reasons you will definitely want to visit Walt Disney World this year.
But along with all of the fun and exciting attractions and refurbishments that are sure to add magic to your vacation, there is, as usual, some ticket price increases going into effect the first week of March for Disney World AND Disneyland theme parks. Are you thinking this is going to have a huge impact on your trip? Don’t worry! Because in almost every case, no, it is not going to negatively impact your budget.

Disney is introducing new seasonal, or tiered, ticket prices beginning today, Feb. 28, 2016. There is generally a ticket price increase every year, but for 2016, there is a significant change. The price of your one (1) day tickets is now based on the time of year you visit Disney World.

Let’s look at an example.  If you are traveling to Disney World over the holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas or New Year) and you are purchasing a Magic Your Way package with resort accommodations and tickets, you are still going to be getting the value in buying that package. The more you stay, the more you play, and the less you pay.

Understanding the New Tiered Seasonal Ticket Pricing

Each month in the calendar year has now been divided into peak, regular and value days. If you visit the theme parks during the value dates, for example, your adult ticket price will remain at $105 for one day admission to Magic Kingdom and $97 for the other parks. The prices will increase to $110 during “regular dates” and $124 for “peak dates.”
This tiered structure is currently only being applied to ONE day park admission tickets.  If you are visiting Disney World for ONE day during these holidays, and purchasing a one day ticket, your price for that one day of admission is going to be more than if you were visiting for one day in September or February and staying off site.
If you have already planned your trip and booked your package or bought park tickets for an upcoming trip, this will not effect you at all…
Now, ticket prices are also increasing for multi-day tickets as well, but they will NOT, as of now, be a part of this tiered structure. We will let you when these prices increase.

How to Save Money on Tickets

Purchasing a ONE day ticket during value or regular days, choosing multi-day tickets, OR booking an entire package will give you more value.
The best way to get the most value for your money is in purchasing the Magic Your Way Package.
